Wellness at work, the new challenge in the age of sustainability

“Work, work, work. I prefer the sound of the sea.”

A line inspired by Dino Campana‘s poem, which a reader today would know how to connect to every individual’s natural pursuit of well-being.

Wellness in eating healthy food, sleeping peacefully, experiencing relaxing moments alone, with friends or loved ones.

But how can one reconcile, at the same time and in the same work environment, work and well-being?

Starting precisely with workplaces, especially those that focus on the individual, his or her needs and mental and physical well-being. Elements that strongly affect the productivity and motivation of employees and the success of the organization.

Corporate wellness programs increase employee productivity by up to 25 percent (source: Harvard Business Review). They spread a positive culture and enhance the reputation of the company and its products.

Many companies have espoused this golden thread of sustainability. They initiate programs and strategies aimed, not only at promoting workers’ physical health, but also psychological health.

Workplace well-being is a concrete form of social “welfare.” Companies where people work best are those that perform best in terms of turnover and growth.

Daycare centers, baby parking, cafeteria with organic food and for all tastes and religions, stress management classes, flexible schedules to balance work-life rhythms.

We at CEMI Network know this well. We have made it our slogan to be the unending well-being!

Wellness and work find a perfect synthesis in the creation of wellness spaces. They are designed to relieve tension during the workday, regenerate and recharge the body and mind to always deliver performance that meets the expectations of the organization.

We work alongside architects and experts in wellness projects who, like us, suggest creating spaces structured as authentic “islands,” where “working” can be preferred to the “sound of the sea.” Through, for example, plays of light and a sound that reproduce colors and marine environments, warm and isolated, or salt walls moonscapes waterfalls and fountains offer the concrete feeling of being “elsewhere” to quickly regain strength, motivation and concentration.

These are solutions that require creativity and experience in the all-around wellness world to transfer the wellness culture that generates welfare and business into the workplace.

If you want to invest in employees’ happiness, helping to improve their quality of life and lead your company to (long-term) success, in the age of sustainability, well-being at work is a challenge worth taking on.

We at Cemi Network believe in it and know how to help you.
