Sustainable swimming pool: Steela®, a technology for the environment

Designing a sustainable swimming pool Steela®, technology for the environment, patented CEMI® Network

Designing a sustainable Steela® swimming pool is an activity that requires great attention to detail.
Circularity andCO2 emission reduction
The key factors to consider when designing a swimming pool are circularity andCO2 emission reduction.
Circularity is based on the principle of reusing, recycling and regenerating resources, minimizing waste and environmental impact. The reduction ofCO2 emissions refers to the decrease in the amount of greenhouse gases released into the atmosphere. These gases are generated during material processing and installation and are responsible for climate change.

Key factors in designing a swimming pool.

To follow these two key factors, the design of swimming pools take into consideration some key aspects, including:

  • The choice of materials, in fact it is good to prefer environmentally friendly, recycled and recyclable materials that have a low ecological footprint and are strong and durable. The steel panels that make up Steela® are made of stainless steel, durable and fully recyclable.
  • Energy efficiency, that is, adopting solutions that reduce electricity consumption and the use of fossil fuels. To maximize the pool, it is useful to install LED lighting systems, controllable heat pumps, and automatic PH and chlorine control devices to preserve the condition of the pool.
  • Water conservation by implementing measures that limit water waste and loss, encouraging its recycling and use. Solutions such as sand or cartridge filters, automatic cover systems or thermal tarpaulins, and rainwater harvesting devices are preferred to counter water waste.

Steela®, the patented, sustainable technology

Thanks to our patented Steela® technology, it is possible to reduceCO2 emissions by 50% (compared to traditional materials used for swimming pools, such as concrete and tile liners). This particular structure reduces maintenance costs and improves the water quality of the pool, while respecting the environment in which it is built and the well-being of people.

Environmental sustainability is a theme that has been part of CEMI® Network’s mission and values for years.

CEMI® Network cares deeply about environmental sustainability, which has been part of our values mission for years. For more than fifty years we have been caring for the environment, building environmentally sustainable facilities with full respect for the well-being of people, our planet and its resources
