Regulatory dimensions of the water polo pool
For the tank to meet international standards, the minimum dimensions required are:
- 33.33 x 21.00 m or 34.83 x 21.00 m with 1.50 m movable bridge
- Minimum depth of 2.00 m over the entire surface of the competition field
Measures vary by discipline:
- 30 x 20 m for men’s water polo
- 25 x 20 m for women’s water polo
Alternatively, with the inclusion of a movable bridge, the pool can be reconfigured into a 25.00 x 21.00 m field, making it multipurpose for other disciplines such as swimming and lifeguarding.

Regulatory dimensions for international competitions
For international level competitions, the pool must have a minimum size of 33.33 x 21 m (or 34 x 21 m) and a depth between 2.50 and 3.00 meters. These measurements ensure fluidity of movement, safety during performances and better use of the facility.
In addition, to increase the versatility of the facility, we recommend installing a 1.50 m movable deck, which allows the pool to be reconfigured for use in other aquatic disciplines, such as water polo.

Each plant is developed in full compliance with current regulations of the host country, ensuring proper sizing of circulation, filtration, disinfection and water quality systems.
International standards for competition and training
The Olympic-size pool is the gold standard for international competitions. According to FINA, it must measure 50 meters long by 25 meters wide, with 10 lanes each 2.5 meters wide and a minimum depth of 2 meters. When intended for synchronized swimming, the recommended depth is at least 3 meters.
For the world short-tub championships, the required measurements are 25 x 25 meters, with the same 10 lanes and a minimum depth of 1.35 meters.
